In order to legally use this track, i needed to find out who owns the copyright of this song which turned out to be Lana Del Rey herself. I examined the best google had to offer of ways of getting in contact with Lana Del Rey, but unshockingly none of her private information is shared on the internet. Therefore i resorted to her facebook fan page. The likeliness of her actually reading this may not be high, but here it is.

Research & Planning 4- My Chosen Track & Some Genre Research

I have chosen to make a music video for part of my A2 course, The Track I've chosen to use is Radio By Lana Del Rey.

I've found difficulty in trying to define the exact genre of this track as it collaborates different genre elements together. Some people would define it as Soft Rock however, i see this song to be Indie /Alternative Pop. I was inspired to use one of Del Reys tracks as i not only find her lyrics very interesting, but because she is a very talented singer/song writer. Her music has been noted for its cinematic sound and its references to various aspects of pop culture, particularly that of the 1950s and '60s Americana. Lana describes herself as a "self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra" Radio is about the journey she has come on to get where she is now. Unfortunately as of yet Lana has not made an official music video for this song, h owever these promtional covers to the right and below have been created for the song.

After watching many videos of Indie/ Alternative Pop genre, or any music that i think is similar to Lana Del Rey (as her music is hard to pinpoint to an exact genre), i wrote down a list of what the videos tend to all have, and therefore things i will be incorporating into my music video. Here it is....
